Open UI – Right for your Users?
Sitting in the hotel here in the far far far North of Europe, we had time to put together a short presentation to compare various features of the High Interactivity UI and the Open UI. Once more our focus was on the End User and the potential pluses and minuses of the new “skin” for Siebel CRM. Siebel CRM Open UI is a considerable project from the point of view of user adoption and “user assimilation”.
This is not meant to be an exhaustive list, simply a starting point for analysis and discussion. Some of the issues will no doubt be resolved in time or replacements found. Amongst other elements we look at the Calendar widget, the Calender Applets, PickLists, MVGs, iHelp and many more that your users are probably pretty comfortable with. How will you prepare them for the eventual arrival of OpenUI? How will you balance the technical need to provide multi-browser Siebel CRM with the cost and time of the adoption issues and associated configuration load? This presentation aims to get you thinking in the right direction. It does not judge or estimate on your behalf.
The presentation is available on our Youtube Channel or as a PowerPoint Presentation from Slideshare with embedded audio.
